Small cosy restaurant that serves authentic teochew food. The fresh seafood were all yummy and tasty. We appreciate the boss taking his time to explain the various dishes. Will definitely come back! Highly recommended. Overcrowded weekend.

Food taste good but quite pricey. 3 dishes cost RM 155. Curry fish head RM 79, Veg RM 18, Meat RM 25. Rice charge RM 2 per head.

Food: Very, very tasty food. The asam fish/stingray was just nice - not overly sour but it's best you eat with rice, the curry bamboo shoots was equally tasty, the veg cooked with pork lard, the omelette with some veg that was crispy, and the crispy 5 chan yuk (I think it's 5 layered crispy pork belly that was cooked to perfection - you can't even taste the fat because they've disintegrated). We got the steamed fish for free; though we found there was nothing wrong with it, it wasn't to the owner's satisfaction. Even then, the fish tasted fresh without the fishy taste. Price: Slightly more pricey than normal but the fish is guaranteed to be fresh. Ambience: Cosy Chinese open air restaurant. Service: Tops. Our colleague is an old classmate of the owner, so we found him to be very friendly and accommodating, especially when he found out we were from KL. He recommended food uncommon in KL and even gave us the steamed fish for free because it was not up to his standard (which we found to be tasty and to us, there was nothing wrong with it).

Super super yummy! Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious – full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The ingredients were fresh, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the food. Also, the boss is a super friendly person – really warm and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to go back!

It was a truly satisfying dinner for us. The boss is very friendly and patiently recommends dishes for us to see which one we want to order (since it is the first time for us). The fish is very fresh. You can also ask for fish fillets (鱼片) instead of the whole fish (always good to ask for the price and order according to your budget). The bitter gourd with egg is so tender and yummy. The price is very reasonable. Will definitely come back again when we have the chance!!

First thing I should tell you is that this place charges a premium price for the food. I am not saying that as a deterrent. Not am I saying that a place with classic kopitiam vibe and without aircon cannot charge that price. I am just giving you a heads up. To me the food is incredible. Especially the curry fish (bawal). The thickness and body of the curry, the flavor, the aroma. Impressive. More so when you taste the fish. Perfectly cooked with the meat tender and succulent. The timing to get that incredible meat consistency is a testament to the chef's skill and experience. It is exceedingly rare to find fish and curry cooked so well. The asam prawn is also deliciously seasoned and cooked. Definitely another must try. The vegetable fried egg is crunchy at the edges and proportioned perfectly. The stir fried vegetable meanwhile, is one of the lighter dishes I had. Minimally flavored, it's still enjoyable. As for the bitter gourd, it was well seasoned and the runny egg was timed perfectly to give it a perfect balance to temper the bitter taste of the bitter gourd. The only dish that didn't live up to the reputation was likely the pork. Too much fatty meat made it a hard dish to enjoy after a couple pieces. The accompanying skin pieces however was delightfully cooked with great biting consistency. Generally the incredible taste coupled with high quality (for most part) ingredients that comes with it makes the higher price acceptable to me. I definitely wouldn't mind coming for repeated visits especially for the curry fish.

One of the best 煮炒 (home cook style dish, usually in large portions) I had. Fried pork belly, otak-otak style prawn & squid, steamed fish, all left my taste buds tingling long after the meal. I left very full and satisfied.
